A native of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, Bryce Christensen grew up in Provo, where he attended Provo High School.  After serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he married Mary Cox, also of Provo.  After completing his B.A. and M.A. in English at Brigham Young University, Dr. Christensen earned his Ph.D. at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Employed for a number of years in editorial and research positions at the Rockford Institute, Dr. Christensen was the founding editor of The Family in America, a publication for which he still does work through Southwest Editorial Services, Inc.  Returning to Utah in 1996 when he accepted a position with the English as a Second Language program at Southern Utah University (SUU).  Dr. Christensen has since 2001 been a member of the English department at SUU, currently holding the rank of associate professor and serving as chair of that department.  He and his wife are the parents of three sons, two grandsons, and two granddaughters. The author of Utopia Against the Family (Ignatius, 1990) and Divided We Fall: Family Discord and the Fracturing of America (Transaction, 2005), Dr. Christensen has published articles on cultural and literary issues in Philosophy and Literature, Christianity and Literature, Renascence, Modern Age, and various other scholarly journals. His poetry has appeared in The Formalist, Contemporary Rhyme, Tailwind and elsewhere and has been anthologized in Sonnets: 150 Contemporary Sonnets (University of Evansville Press, 2005), The Conservative Poets: A Contemporary Anthology (University of Evansville Press, 2006) and Grace Notes (First Things, 2010).  His novel Winning was published by Whiskey Creek Press in 2007 and was reviewed in American Library Association's Booklist, Midwest Book Review, and elsewhere.  He has also published popular articles in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Cleveland Plain-Dealer and elsewhere.
